Terms of Use

Last updated: 2026-11-01

These Terms of Use (“Terms”) govern your use of RoyalWallet, the personal finance app at royalwallet.money, and of the website royalpaymentsolutions.com (together, the “Service”). The Service is operated by Royal Payment Solutions, LLC, a limited liability company organized under the laws of New Mexico, USA (“we”, “us”). By creating an account you agree to these Terms. The demonstration environment at test.getroyalpay.com has its own terms, shown there.

1. What RoyalWallet is

RoyalWallet is software that helps you organise information about your money: accounts you add, transactions you import or connect, receipts you attach, budgets, bills and subscriptions with a bill calendar, merchants, a cash-flow map, goals, spending vows, shared expenses, debts, forecasts, insights and reports, and Royal Advisor, which reads your own data and tells you what it sees.

RoyalWallet is not a bank and does not provide payment, deposit, e-money, lending, investment or currency exchange services. We do not hold, receive or transmit money, and RoyalWallet cannot make payments from your bank account. Everything RoyalWallet shows, including the “safe to spend” figure, budget pace, bill dates, goal forecasts, the forecast of your balance, the debt payoff plan and Royal Advisor’s findings, verdicts and answers, is an estimate calculated from the data you provide. It is information, not financial, tax or legal advice. Your bank’s own records always prevail.

2. Your account

You must be at least 18 years old and able to enter into a contract in your country. One account per person. Keep your password confidential; we recommend turning on two-factor authentication in Settings. You are responsible for activity in your account unless it results from our failure to protect it.

The live demo opens a temporary account filled with sample data. It shows the features of the King plan for testing only, does not give you a plan, and is deleted when you log out or at the latest 48 hours after it was opened. Do not enter real personal or financial data in the demo.

3. Your data and statement imports

You may import statements and enter data only if you are entitled to use them, for example statements of your own accounts or accounts you manage with the holder’s permission. When you add people to a shared expense, enter only what you need to keep track (a name or nickname); we never contact them. Automatic categories, transfer detection and bill detection are suggestions and can be wrong; you can correct them at any time. Receipts you attach to a transaction must be your own (or ones you are entitled to keep), up to 5 MB each and up to 500 per account; we may remove a file that is not a receipt or invoice photo or PDF. You keep all rights in your data. You give us a licence to store and process it only to provide the Service to you, as described in our Privacy Policy.

Royal Shield, Royal Advisor Mini and Royal Advisor

Royal Shield (every plan) and Royal Advisor Mini (Duke) are automated analysis of the transactions in your account, run on our own servers by fixed rules and statistics we wrote. Royal Shield finds regular repayments that look like loans and asks you to confirm them. Royal Advisor Mini says which spending habits help and which cost money, estimates possible savings and answers a set list of questions with your numbers.

Royal Advisor (King) is an AI model. It answers questions you write, using a summary of your figures, and you start it only after agreeing to that on the Royal Advisor page. Its answers are generated automatically, can be wrong or incomplete, and should be checked before you rely on them. It is limited to 40 questions a day.

Content rules for Royal Advisor. Royal Advisor is for questions about your own money. It does not produce, and you must not ask it for, sexual, pornographic, erotic or otherwise indecent content, content that sexualises minors in any way, hateful or harassing content, or graphic violence, whatever the framing (a joke, a story, a translation, a role or a “hypothetical”). We enforce this in three ways: your question is checked on our own servers before anything is sent to the model provider, and a question that breaks these rules is not sent; the provider’s safety filters are switched on for every request; and every answer is checked again before it is shown or stored. A refused question gets a short refusal, is not stored and counts towards the daily limit. Spending with adult merchants in your own transactions stays visible to you in Transactions and Insights, but Royal Advisor refers to it only by amount. Repeated or deliberate attempts to break these rules are a breach of section 8.

None of these features knows your full circumstances, assesses creditworthiness or recommends any financial product, lender or investment. Their output is general budgeting information about your own money, not personalised financial, investment, tax or legal advice. You decide what to do. You can switch the analysis off in Settings and stop the AI conversation at any time.

Debt Siege plans are arithmetic on the balance, rate and payment you enter: your lender calculates interest, fees and early repayment its own way, so check with your lender before you change how you repay a loan.

4. Bank connections

Live bank connections are a feature of paid plans and are marked “coming soon” until they open. They will be provided by regulated account information providers, which we will name here before the first connection. You will give your consent to your bank and to that provider, and their own terms and privacy notices will apply to that step. Connections are read-only: they let RoyalWallet read balances and transactions and nothing else. Consent at European banks is limited in time, usually up to 180 days, after which you can renew it. You can remove a connection at any time in the app, with or without the transactions it brought in.

5. Plans and prices

The Commoner plan is free, with the limits shown on the pricing page. It does not turn into a paid plan by itself and no payment details are needed. On Commoner you see the last three budget months of transactions. Older transactions are not deleted: they stay in your account, are included in every data export, return when you move to Duke or King, and you can delete them yourself at any time. Members who opened their account before 17 October 2026 keep the Commoner limits that applied when they joined (shown on their Plan page), as we promised that the free plan would not lose what it had.

The Duke (€3.99 a month or €39.00 a year) and King (€6.99 a month or €69.00 a year) plans are coming soon and cannot be bought yet. Prices include VAT where it applies. Before you can buy a paid plan we will publish its payment terms, including who processes the payment, how renewal and cancellation work, and how your right of withdrawal applies. Nothing will be charged without your explicit order.

You can earn free months of Duke and King by inviting friends, under the separate Invitation Terms.

We may give a paid plan without charge for a stated period, for example for testing or as a goodwill gesture. When that period ends, the account returns to the Commoner plan and nothing is charged. If you then have more items than the Commoner plan allows, nothing is deleted; you just cannot add more until you are within the limit.

6. Planned features

Features marked “coming soon” or “planned”, including accounts, IBANs, cards, transfers, currency exchange and payments between members, are not available. They are shown so you know what we are working on. We do not promise that they will be offered, when, or at what price. Asking to be told when a feature is ready does not create any contract or obligation. If banking features are offered, they will be provided by a licensed financial institution under its own terms, which you would accept separately.

7. Royal Giving

Royal Giving is a voluntary commitment of Royal Payment Solutions, LLC to donate 5% of its annual net profit, as shown in its approved accounts, to causes chosen by members’ votes. It gives members no right to any payment, votes have no monetary value, and in a year without profit no donation is made.

8. Acceptable use

You must not use the Service unlawfully or to deceive anyone; upload data you have no right to use or that contains malware; try to access other people’s data or parts of the Service not meant for you; overload the Service or scrape it by automated means; use it to build a competing product; or try to make Royal Advisor produce content that its content rules in section 3 exclude, or to get around its instructions or limits. We may suspend an account that breaks these rules, and will tell you why unless the law prevents it.

9. Security research

We welcome good-faith security research. Report findings to the contacts in our security.txt. Do not access other users’ data, run denial-of-service tests or social engineering, and give us reasonable time to fix issues before disclosure. We will not pursue legal action for research conducted in line with this section.

10. Intellectual property

The Service, the software and the RoyalWallet™ and Cash is King names and logos are owned by us or our licensors. We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use the Service for your own, non-commercial purposes while your account exists. A list of the open-source components we use and their licences is available on request.

11. Availability, changes and ending the contract

We aim to keep the Service available but cannot promise it will be uninterrupted. We may change or remove features; if a change materially reduces what a paid plan includes, we will tell you in advance and you may cancel. You can end the contract at any time by deleting your account in Settings, which deletes your data as described in the Privacy Policy. We may end the contract with 30 days’ notice, or immediately for a serious breach of these Terms. Accounts unused for 24 months are deleted after an email notice sent at least 30 days in advance.

12. Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, or for decisions you take based on estimates shown in the Service, and our total liability arising from the Service in any twelve months is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us in that period and USD 100. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, including for fraud, wilful misconduct, gross negligence or death or personal injury caused by negligence, or the mandatory rights of consumers under the law of their country of residence, including statutory rights for digital content and digital services.

13. Privacy

Our Privacy Policy explains how we process personal data.

14. Changes to these Terms, law and disputes

We may change these Terms by publishing a new version with a new date. Material changes are announced in the app at least 30 days before they take effect, and you may delete your account before then. These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of New Mexico, USA, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules, and the courts located in New Mexico have jurisdiction. If you are a consumer, you also keep the protection of the mandatory laws of your country of residence and may bring proceedings in the courts there. Please contact us first: most problems are solved quickly by email.
